Allen Joseph White

Allen J. White grew up in the Delhi area of Delaware County. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and served with the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines in Quang Tri Province. His tour began in mid-1967. Lance Corporal White was killed on July 29, 1967 near Con Thien while on an operation to slow the flow of North Vietnamese troops into the South. He was buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Earlville.
