Biography:
Barton Carey’s home of record is Manhattan, Kansas. His tour in Vietnam began January 1968 with the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry, the Golden Dragons. Private First Class Carey was killed by hostile fire during Operation Wilderness in Tay Ninh. He was married and was buried in Winterset Cemetery in Winterset, Iowa.
