Biography:
Davenport native Charles Allen Morse served as a rifleman in the Marine Corps. While in Vietnam he was assigned to Company G, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, in the 1st Marine Division. LCPL Morse was killed on March 27, 1967 from a gunshot wound to the chest sustained from enemy fire. He was 20 years old at the time of his death.
