Biography:
Corbin Clark Tindall of Le Mars was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated from Akron High School in 1960. He enlisted in the Army in February 1963 while attending Westmar College in Le Mars. In college Tindall was active in sports and music before graduating in 1964 with a degree in biology. Before being called to active duty Tindall was involved in farming with his family. 1LT Tindall received infantry training at Fort Benning, GA before being assigned as a Rifle Platoon Leader. He was killed after being in Vietnam for only six weeks when he encountered hostile forces while on a combat operation. His funeral was held at Calvary Methodist Church in Le Mars and his body was buried at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Adaville. Tindall left behind a wife and was 26 years old at the time of his death.
