Biography:
Craig Waterman grew up in Rockwell City. He entered the Army in 1969, served with the 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry in Binh Tuy, and started his tour in May 1970. His death came in September 1970 after his Ranger platoon had taken a NVA camp. Corporal Waterman was killed by non-hostile fire when he was shot located outside the night defensive position. He was buried in St. Francis Cemetery in Rockwell City.
