David Henry Sherlock was born on March 8, 1948 in Worthington. He was killed in action while on a combat operation when a hostile force was encountered on August 3, 1969 in the Binh Long Province, South Vietnam. Sherlock served in the United States Army Reserves. He was buried in Saint Paul Cemetery in Worthington.
