Biography:
David Ira Musch graduated Waterloo East High School in 1965. That November Musch enlisted in the Marines Corps and completed basic training. Before deploying to Vietnam he married his high school sweetheart. He served in the 1st Marine Division and commonly was pointman for his platoon. On September 30, 1966 PFC Musch was shot and killed by an enemy sniper in the vicinity of Danang, leaving behind an unborn child and wife. He was laid to rest at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo.
