Biography:
Dennis Edward Koepp died on February 5, 1968 while serving in South Vietnam. SP5 Koepp was serving with the Headquarters Company, 5th Battalion, 60th Infantry in the 9th Infantry Division. The Army lists his home town as Webb in Clay County, although his obituary states he was from Primghar in O’Brian County. He had been in South Vietnam for 8 months at the time of his death. SP5 Koepp’s death was listed as a non-hostile illness associated with glomerulonephritis, or an inflammation of the kidneys. His wife was living in Germany at the time of his death. Koepp was 28 years old when he died. His remains were buried at the West Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, IA.
