Biography:
Dennis Olson grew up in Yale in Guthrie County. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served with the 1st Battalion, 5th Marines based in Quang Tri Province. He was killed by sniper fire on October 29, 1966 while on patrol. Private First Class Olson was married. He was buried in the Yale Cemetery.
