Dennis Wayne Holtorf

Dennis Wayne Holtdorf grew up in Denison and joined the Army in 1968. His tour in Vietnam began in September 1969 as an infantryman with Company C, 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry. He was killed on November 29th while on camp patrol at night in Phuoc Long Province. He stepped on a mine and was killed by the detonation. Private First Class Holtdorf was buried in Crawford Heights Memorial Gardens in Denison.
