Biography:
Donald Ray Webb grew up in Des Moines and attended the Des Moines School District. He joined the Army and was sent to South Vietnam in April 1967. SGT Webb served as an infantryman in the 25th Infantry Division. He was in South Vietnam for nine months when he was killed in action. SGT Webb died on March 9, 1970 from an enemy booby trap in the Hau Nghia Province. He was awarded two Bronze Stars during his eight year career in the military. He was 27 years old at the time of his death and left behind two children. His body was returned to Iowa and buried at the Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
