Donald Wayne Thompson

Donald W. Thompson graduated from Montezuma Community High School in 1963. He farmed and worked for Audas Supply Company in Montezuma. Corporal Thompson served as an Infantryman with the 2nd Battalion, 25th Infantry and began his tour in Vietnam on September 10, 1997. He was killed on December 2, 1967 while on a combat mission in Binh Duong Province, South Vietnam. Friends described him as a good man and a good friend. Left behind were his wife, young son and daughter. He was buried in Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma, Iowa.
