Duane Alan Clefisch

Duane Alan Clefisch of Hazleton graduated from West Central High School in the class of 1968. He enlisted in the Army in September of the same year. SP4 Clefisch arrived in Vietnam in March 1969 to serve with the 25th Infantry Division. He was killed by friendly fire five months later on August 30, 1969 in Tay Ninh Province. A funeral service was held in Oelwein and his body was buried at the Hazleton Cemetery. Clefisch was 19 years old at the time of his death.
