Biography:
Frederick Lennon grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Bishop Heelan High School. His goal was always to be a Green Beret. He joined the Army and served as a combat engineer with DET A -312, 5th Special Forces Group. After arriving in Vietnam on January 20, 1966, he was based in Binh Duoug Province. Lennon was killed on October 17th while missing. His body was located several days later. Specialist Fourth Class Lennon is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City.
