Gary Wayne Bartmess

Gary Wayne Bartmess of Nevada, IA served as a still photographer in the United States Army. He deployed to Vietnam on April 9, 1970. SP5 Bartmess was serving near the Central Highlands when he was killed. His fatal injury was sustained when an explosive booby trap detonated on October 22, 1970. He was 24 years old at the time of his death and left behind a young wife.
