James Charles Oshea

James C. O’Shea grew up in Council Bluffs. He was inducted into the Army and trained as an infantryman. His tour in Vietnam started November 22, 1968 with the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry of the 199th Light Infantry Brigade. Private First Class O’Shea was killed March 31st in a night ambush near Duc Hoa City in Hua Nghia Province. He was married. His burial was in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Council Bluffs.
