Biography:
James Dean Johnson grew up on a farm near Grandview and graduated from Louisa-Muscatine High School in 1969. He joined the Army and began his tour in Vietnam in January 1970 where he served as a radio operator with the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry. His death came from explosive device in Binh Duong Province on March 3rd. Private First Class Johnson was buried in Grandview Cemetery in rural Louisa County.
