Biography:
James “Jim” D. Cohron was born in Leon, Iowa and joined the Army when he was 25. Cohron served in an elite covert unit performing highly classified missions throughout Southeast Asia. On January 12, 1968, while on a secret mission in Laos, his unit was ambushed by an enemy force and then retreated to a defensive position. As the team regrouped for extraction, Cohron was missing. Search and rescue operations were unable to locate any remains and Cohron was presumed killed.
