Biography:
James (Jim) Estrem Bousquet grew up in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Washington High School in the class of 1965. One of his primary hobbies of sky diving. He joined the service shortly after school and achieved the rank of First Lieutenant. 1LT Bousquet was sent to Vietnam in May 1968 and spent most of his at Camp Enari east of Pleiku in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Near the end of his tour he conducted patrols into the jungle as a unit commander. On April 24, 1969 1LT Bousquet was killed by wounds inflicted by small arms fire during combat. He left behind a wife and was buried at Fort Benning Post Cemetery in Georgia.
