Jeffrey Paul Searles

Jeffrey Searles grew up in Lamoni. He was known as a popular and playful student. Upon graduation he joined the Army and started his tour in Vietnam in November 1969. He was assigned as rifleman with the 3rd Battalion, 8th Infantry based in Binh Dinh Province. Private First Class Searles was killed April 19th when he detonated a booby trap. His burial location was not reported.
