Biography:
Jerry Lee Collister was from Maquoketa, IA. He was drafted into the Army in July 1967, eventually earning the rank of Private First Class. PFC Collister arrived in South Vietnam in December 1967, serving as an Electronic Mechanic in the 25th Infantry Division. On February 25, 1968, PFC Collister was killed during a firefight of Operation Saratoga in Gia Dinh Province, South Vietnam. He was 24 years old at the time of his death, and his body was buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Delmar, IA.
