Biography:
Jerry Prosper Clark of Davenport was declared missing in action on December 15, 1965. Clark served as a pilot for the United States Army. His Cessna O-1 Bird Dog aircraft experienced an in-flight emergency. The plane’s battery failed and he was running out of fuel. His aircraft crashed along a beach, in about five feet of water, eight miles short of his destination. Despite extensive searches, Jerry Prosper Clark was never located.
