Joel Leroy Miller

Joel Le Roy Miller graduated from Primghar Community High School with the class of 1967. After graduation he worked at Lundell Manufacturing Company in Cherokee before he was drafted into the Army. Miller was killed when he was attacked by enemy troops northwest of Saigon while at a night defensive position. He died just five days before his 21st birthday. His body was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Primghar. Miller was posthumously promoted to Sergeant.
