Biography:
John E. Swanson Jr, from Davenport, Iowa, began his tour in Vietnam on December 18, 1967. Corporal Swanson served as a Medical Corpsman with the 25th Medical Battalion, 25th Infantry. He died after an accidental shooting in Binh Duong Province, South Vietnam on May 4, 1968. He was buried in Kossuth Cemetery in Mediapolis, Minnesota.
