John Straudovskis

John Straudovskis was born in Germany and came to Andrew, Iowa as a child. He graduated from Lost Nation High School in 1965 and enlisted in the Marine Corps. His tour in Vietnam began in April 1967 with the 1st Battalion, 5th Marines. Private First Class Straudovskis was killed in heavy fighting in the Niu Nong Hall Hills on May 12nd. He was buried in the Andrew Cemetery.
