Keith Leslie Wilson

Keith Leslie Wilson from Marathon enlisted in the Army on September 20, 1960 at age 18. He began his tour in Vietnam on July 24, 1968 as an Army Infantryman with the 1st Battalion, 11th Infantry. While on a combat mission in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam on August 31, 1968, Sergeant Wilson was engaged in a firefight with hostile forces and died from wounds received. He was survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. He was buried in Poland Township Cemetery in Marathon, Iowa.
