Biography:
Kelly F. Cook, member of Iowa Air National Guard in Sioux City, was an instructor at the U.S. Air Force Academy prior to volunteering for Vietnam service. He was a pilot of an F-4 Phantom. While on a bombing raid in North Vietnam, contact with Cook’s aircraft was lost. Ground searches were not conducted as the incident occurred over heavily defended enemy territory. Kelly F. Cook’s remains were never recovered.
