Biography:
Kenneth Alan Luse of Cedar Rapids joined the Army in August 1968 and began his tour in Vietnam in October 1969. WO (Warrant Officer) Luse was killed less than two months into his tour. He was a gunner on a military aircraft providing air cover for a downed American aircraft. His airplane received incoming fire from enemy ground force, causing the aircraft to crash and burn in Phuoc Long Province. Luse suffered burns to his entire body. His body was buried at Cedar Memorial park in Cedar Rapids. He was 19 years old at the time of his death.
