Kennett Keith Scott

Kenneth Keith Scott was from Sioux City. He joined the Marine Corps on January 26, 1965, eventually earning the rank of Lance Corporal. LCPL Scott began his tour in South Vietnam in February 1966. He served as a rifleman in the First Marine Division. On October 19, 1966, LCPL Scott was accidentally killed by a friendly mortar round at Chu Lai, South Vietnam. He had been due to return to Iowa in November. His body was buried at Logan Park Cemetery in Sioux City.
