Biography:
Kent Carter Wolf grew up in the rural Boone area. He was the eldest of six children with brown hair and bright blue eyes. He graduated from United Community High School where he was a good student and participated in athletics, running on the two-mile relay team for track. He was also a Homecoming escort to the Homecoming Queen who was a classmate. Kent was active in Saint Peter and Paul church outside of Gilbert. He was quiet but always polite and shared his life with his younger brother Rick doing many activities together. After high school, he worked at Yegge Lumber Yard for a while. Wolf served in the Army with the as an armored reconnaissance specialist. On August 3, 1970 the vehicle he was driving struck a booby-trapped 500 lb. bomb north of Ben Luc. The explosion killed all three occupants of the truck. SP5 Wolf is buried at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Gilbert.
