Biography:
Michael C. Lawson grew up in the small community of Cincinnati in Appanoose County. After he finished high school, he entered the Army and in September 1970 deployed to Vietnam. He served with the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry in Long Khanh Province. Corporal Lawson was killed when a booby trap detonated while he was on a mission near An Loc Airfield. He was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati.
