Michael Villarreal

Michael Villarreal lived in the Sioux City area at the time he entered the Army. His family was located at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota. His tour is Vietnam started in December 1967 with the 6th Battalion, 11th Field Artillery in Quang Ngai Province where he served as cannon fire direction operator. Sergeant Villarreal was killed November 16 in an operation near Minh Long Air Field. He was buried at Offutt Air Force Base Cemetery in Bellevue, Nebraska.
