Phillip Harry Grego

Phillip Harry Grego of Council Bluffs enlisted in the Marine Corps and served as a rifleman with the 1st Marine Division. PFC Grego was on patrol near Quang Nam when suffered fragmentation wounds to his entire body when an enemy mine exploded. He was killed instantly. His body was buried at Ridgewood Cemetery in Council Bluffs. PFC Grego was 20 years old at the time of his death.
