Biography:
Richard Boeshart was born in Laurel Nebraska but grew up in Sioux City. He enlisted in the Army in February 1967 and served with the 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry as a machine gun squad leader. In December his unit conducted operations at My Ann in Binh Dinh Province where a large force of North Vietnamese troops was encountered. Sergeant Boeshart was killed on December 15th and was buried in St Anne’s Cemetery in Dixon Nebraska.
