Robert Dee Sells Jr

Robert Dee Sells Jr. of Central City was a 1965 graduate of Regis High School in Cedar Rapids, where he was a standout baseball player. After graduation he attended Loras College for one year before being drafted into the Army. PFC Sells arrived in Vietnam in January 1967. He was killed four months later on May 8, 1967 when he was shot by sniper fire while on a combat operation in Darlac Province. His body was buried at Mount Clark Cemetery in Central City. He was 20 years old at the time of his death.
