Biography:
Robert Duane Harris grew up in rural Percival and attended Fremont-Mills High School. He entered the Army in 1968 and left in June 1969 for a tour of duty in Vietnam where he was assigned to the 7th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division as a rifleman. On November 4th his patrol was involved in a hostile incident in Binh Long Province in which SP4 Harris was wounded. He died while being treated in a military hospital and is buried in the Wyuke Cemetery in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
