Biography:
SGT Robert Roy Davis was killed just after one month in Vietnam while serving in an artillery unit with the 101st Airborne Division. Davis graduated from Forest City High School in 1967 and then attended North Iowa Area Community College before joining the U.S. Army. He arrived in Vietnam on January 8, 1970 and was killed by enemy fire on February 11, 1970 at the age of 22. Robert Davis’ remains were laid to rest at the Oakland Cemetery in Forest City, Iowa.
