Biography:
Ronald Marvin Beeck was from Miles in Jackson County. He was drafted into the Army and began serving in South Vietnam in October 1967. He earned the rank of Specialist 4 while serving as an Infantryman in the First Cavalry Division. On April 6, 1968, SP4 Beeck died in a Naval Hospital from wounds he suffered in a firefight during Operation Pegasus in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam. He was 23 years old at the time of his death.
