Biography:
Ronald Wearmouth grew up in Newton. He entered the Army in 1967 and began his tour in Vietnam in September 1967. Wearmouth served with the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry in Bien Hoa. Sergeant Wearmouth was killed on June 14th within days of his scheduled departure from the combat zone. He received the Bronze Star (Valor) for his service. He was married and was buried in Newton Memorial Park.
