Roy Alan Meier

Roy Alan Meier of Marion graduated from Marion High School in the class of 1967. After graduation he joined the Marine Corps and began his tour in Vietnam in December 1967. PFC Meier died from fragmentation wounds he suffered to his head and body during a night attack in Quang Tri Province. His body was buried at Cedar Memorial Park in Cedar Rapids. He was 19 years old at the time of his death.
