Terry Lynn Rexroat

Terry Lynn Rexroat of Cedar Rapids was a graduate of Washington High School in the class of 1967. After graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps. He arrived in Vietnam in September 1969 and served as a tank driver. PFC Rexroat was killed two months later on November 26, 1969 when his vehicle drove over an enemy mine near Quang Nam. He suffered third degree burns to his entire body. A funeral service was held at Turner Chapel East and his body was buried at Cedar Memorial Park, both located in Cedar Rapids. He was 20 years old.
