Biography:
Vernon “Randy” Randolph grew up in the Pleasant Valley area and graduated from high school in 1961. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and deployed to Vietnam on March 28, 1967 to serve with the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines in Quang Nam Province. He was killed on February 7th during the TET offensive when his unit confronted a large force of North Vietnam regulars near Da Nang. Corporal Randolph was survived by his wife and two children and was buried at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Pleasant Valley.
